We got out of town and up to the camper this weekend to start getting ready for Summer. First on the list was picking up our new (to us) boat in Whitehall. It was a beautiful, clear day, surprising hot after having snow and slush last week, but that’s spring in Montana! We love fishing and hope to get the boat out soon and often. There were a few surprises. A packrat had gotten in to one of the storage sheds by chewing right through the side of the wall. At least it wasn’t the shed with the bow target foam deer or the grill. It was a mess though and a lot to clean up. Turns out the four wheeler was running a little rough, so we couldn’t check all the game cameras. Hoping new gas will straighten that out. Fingers crossed. The C02 alarm was going off in the camper as well. So that’s 3 more problems than we came with. If you ever run into that, it ended up the lifespan of the alarm is 7 years. Yup, bought that camper exactly that long ago, so that’s an easy fix.
It’s pretty dusty in the forest, so it was an old boots and jeans kind of day. My Ariat boots are the first pair I got after coming to Montana and they feel amazing. You could walk all day in them, and I have, but that’s another story. They are my most worn in pair of boots, and my favorite. Classic western boots for a great price. https://amzn.to/4bdY3Zh
I’m also wearing a super comfy and soft black body suit. I reach for it all the time. it goes with everything, and I could dress it up later for Mother’s Day dinner out. This one has cap sleeves and a round neck. https://amzn.to/4agj30b
You never know about the weather in the mountains. It can be colder, especially at night. I took one of my favorite waffle knit plaid shacket, and you know it was windy enough that morning I was grateful to have it. https://amzn.to/4af1n4Z
It was a great weekend. Summer always seems too short, so it was nice to get a glimpse of what’s to come. Here’s to relaxing weekends in boots and jeans!
